Acqua Di Parma Blu Mediterraneo - Miniatures Set Review

A friend recently brought my attention to the new Acqua Di Parma Blu Mediterraneo miniature set, exclusive to Space NK. I knew it would sell out quickly therefore purchased mine as soon as I could. I believe this set is now sold-out online, however you may still be able to purchase it in certain stores.

I love Acqua Di Parma scents and 2 of their perfumes feature on my top 10 favourite scents of all time; the Bergamotto di Calabria and Fico di Amalfi. Acqua Di Parma have gorgeous scents that aren’t overpowering, but strong enough to make an impression; fresh, feminine, sexy and modern.

This set has x5 miniature scents from the Blu Mediterraneo collection which are 5ml each. At £45, that works out to £9 per mini scent and £1.80 per 1ml, but who’s calculating!? I had to buy it as (a) I have a sickness (b) it’s so pweety to look at (c) it has x2 of my favourite scents and (d) travel friendly. The main thing I wanted to know was how small is small and is it refillable?

The answer is: very small, and it’s not refillable. It doesn’t have a spray either, therefore application means gently (and carefully) dabbing it on with your fingers. I think the non-refillable part is a real shame as making it refillable would have been the icing on the cake. I'm sure someone will suggest some kind of ‘clever clogs’ way to refill it, and I’m always open to suggestions! :)

The 5 perfumes included are:
Bergamotto di Calabria (bergamot of Calabria)/ Fico di Amalfi (figs of Amalfi) / Arancia di Capri (oranges of Capri)/ Mirto di Panarea (myrtle of Panarea)/ Chinotto di Liguria (Chinotto of Liguria).

Final Thoughts:

If you love Acqua di Parma scents as much as I do, I think these kind of sets are worth purchasing either for your own collection (for display), or travels (also handbag friendly). Anyone else outside of this category will feel that the miniature set is a rip off and will be disappointed.
